Kent Home Destroyed In Morning Fire KENT, N.Y. -- A Kent home was destroyed in an early morning fire on Kent Lake Rd., according to lohud.com.  Responders were called at approximately 2:30 a.m., but narrow roads and a lack of hydrants in the area slowed efforts to extinguish the blaze, lohud.com reported.  No firefighters were injured and authorities believe the house was empty at the time of the fire, lohud.com said.  Click here to read the lohud.com article.

Rockland Dentist Accused Of Molesting Patients HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. -- A Haverstraw dentist has been charged with molesting some of his patients, according to News 12 Hudson Valley.  Dr. Girish Desai has been under investigation since last fall for reportedly fondling two female patients while they were in the chair at this New Main Street practice, News 12 Hudson Valley reported.  Desai pleaded not guilty to the charges. Police Provide Details Of Suffern Armed Standoff Arrest SUFFERN, N.Y. -- A potentially suicidal 39-year-old male who was armed with an AK-47 in his Park Ave. apartment on Monday night is facing multiple weapons charges, according to officials.  Police received the report of the armed man at approximately 5:30 p.m. When communications with the suspect broke down, the Rockland County SWAT team entered the apartment and took the man into custody, police said.  Officials found a .22 caliber handgun and an AK-47 on the premises along with a small amount of marijuana, police said.  The unidentified suspect was charged with third-degree criminal posse…
