Irmgard Fougner, 79, Rutherford Resident RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Irmgard Fougner of Rutherford died on Monday, Jan. 11. She was 79.Fougner was born in Germany to Conrad and Martha Koester and came to the United States in 1957. She later married her husband, the late Robert Fougner and began to start their family.  Fougner was employed with Mercedes Benz Company in Montvale as a bi-lingual Administrative Assistant, as well as an interpreter for 15 years, before she retired in 1997. He was 59. Born in Sayerville, Cooney had been a resident of Elmwood Park for the past 36 years. He was the director of environmental services for the Preakness Health Care Center in Wayne for 26 years, retiring in 2013.  Conney is survived by his wife Catherine (Marturnano); children Alycia & Shannon; and brother of Rosemary Giuliano.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Patrick J.
