Here Are The NJ Towns With The Best Voter Turnout In The November Elections ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J. -- Voter participation hit an all-time low in New Jersey for the November 2015 elections, but some communities, including Englewood Cliffs, bucked the trend. Englewood Cliffs boasted a 52 percent voter turnout, good for fifth-best in the state behind Pine Valley, Cape May Point, Corbin and Mantoloking. Englewood Cliffs saw 1,873 of 3,592 registered voters sweep into office a new Republican mayor and two GOP council members. It was the largest municipality to make the top 10.  Overall, only 1.17 million people turned out to vote in the Garden State last year.

Haledon School Names Poetry Contest Winner HALEDON, N.J. -- Manchester Regional High School sophomore Shannon Baer won the Haledon school's Poetry Out Loud competition on Monday. Sophomore Dali Khalaf came in second place.  Twelve Manchester students competed. The contest involved reciting poetry and was sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation.   Baer will go on to compete in a regional championship in March.
