Revisit 'Carousel' At Eastchester Public Library EASTCHESTER, N.Y. – The Friends of the Eastchester Public Library are presenting “'Carousel' Revisited" Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Eastchester Library. Hosted by Richard Knox, the presentation will look back on the origins of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Broadway musical “Carousel” and the controversy surrounding casting of the 1956 film version. The presentation includes archival interviews with Rodgers and Hammerstein. Performances from the musical, including “If I Love You” and “You’ll Never Walk Alone” will also be featured. Larchmont Librarian Frank Connelly Presents 'A Christmas Carol' LARCHMONT, N.Y. – The Larchmont Public Library is presenting Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol,” featuring reference librarian Frank Connelly, on Monday at 7 p.m. This will be the 10th consecutive year that Connelly has performed the piece, fully decked out in frock coat and stovepipe hat. Connelly’s reading of Dickens’ most famous work takes the audience back to Victorian era England, a time when there was both strong nostalgia for old Christmas traditions as well as an initiation of new Christmas practices that are with us today, such as Christmas trees.
