Happy Birthday To Bergenfield's Ron Villone BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Happy birthday to former Bergenfield resident and retired professional baseball player Ron Villone! Villone, who pitched for 12 different major league baseball teams, turns 40 on Saturday.  Villone made his debut in the majors in 1995 with the Seattle Mariners. He pitched his final game for the Washington Nationals in 2009.  Over his 15-year career collected 61 wins and 925 strikeouts over 1,168 innings pitched.  The Englewood native is currently a pitching coach in the Chicago Cubs farm system.

Anthony Lillo Sworn In As New Director Of Ridgewood Emergency Services RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- Anthony Lillo took the helm as director and chief of Ridgewood Emergency Services on Jan. 9. Lillo, 57, was sworn in by Ridgewood Mayor Paul Aronsohn at the Departments annual installation dinner.  Lillo's emergency services career began in 1991 and he joined Ridgewood Special Operations in 1999. Ridgewood's TIC TOC Sponsors Free Children's Multicultural Performance RIDGEWOOD, N.J. -- TICTOC Theater & Art is sponsoring a free, multicultural program called “Around the World” at the Ridgewood Library on Saturday, Jan. 30.  Lou Del Bianco, a singer and storyteller, combines theater and music into an interactive program for children in grades K-5.  Children will "travel" to Africa, Asia, Europe and North and South America to learn about different cultures. Palisades Park High School Offers SAT Prep Course PALISADES PARK, N.J. -- Palisades Park Jr./Sr. High School is offering a SAT Preparation Workshop from Jan. 19 through March 2. The focus of the workshop is to prepare for the March 5, SAT testing date, the school as well.  The seven week program meets in the evenings twice a week.
