Norwood Swim Club Announces Memorial Day Weekend Opening NORWOOD, N.J. -- The Norwood Swim Club will hold its first meeting of the year on Wednesday, March 9.The Club is still working on raising more funds. Hackensack Hospital Receives 'Cuddle Cot' HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Forget Me Not Foundation recently presented the Donna A. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC with a donation of a “Cuddle Cot” to the Labor & Delivery Unit. Ringwood Plans Pet Adoption, Vendor Show RINGWOOD, N.J. -- The Skyline Lake Fire Department will host its 11th annual craft show and pet adoption event on May 14 at the fire house in Ringwood. Craft and retail vendors will be on hand along side various pet adoption agencies. More than 60 venders participated last year. Little Ferry Super Pac Mystery Explained LITTLE FERRY, N.J. -- Officials have discovered that the Super PAC that influenced the Little Ferry mayoral race was funded by a local real estate tycoon, according to Politico New Jersey. Donald Nuckel, whose family owns more than 1,000 apartments in the borough, funded Focus on Families. The PAC attacked Mayor Mauro Raguseo by mailing fliers and making automated phone calls, Politico New Jersey reported. Mahwah Township Council Joins 'Access For All' MAHWAH, N.J. -- The Township of Mahwah unanimously voted to have an ordinance drafted to create an "Access for All" committee on Feb. 25, according to NorthJersey.com. The committee would work to improve access to public buildings, public services and education, NorthJersey.com reported. Come See 'Trumbo' At River Edge Library RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- The River Edge Library will screen "Trumbo" on Wednesday, March 9. In 1947, Dalton Trumbo was Hollywood's top screenwriter, until he and other artists were jailed and blacklisted for their political beliefs. Trumbo recounts how Dalton used words and wit to win two Academy Awards and expose the absurdity and injustice under the blacklist. The movie will begin at noon in the main meeting room.
