Latimer Demands More Info On Astorino's Park Avenue Office Suite George Latimer, the Democratic nominee for Westchester county executive, wants to know what went on at the county's Economic Development office in Midtown Manhattan.Latimer, a state senator, is demanding County Executive Rob Astorino, a Republican who is running for a third term, disclose his public schedule. Judges Uphold No Vote On Ramapo Ward System RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Ramapo remains wardless for now. An appellate court upheld the town's 2014 "no" vote on creating a ward system for Ramapo. Supporters of the ward system, including Michael Parietti, argued there was confusion over who was eligible to vote after the town allowed unregistered voters to cast a ballot, according to LoHud. Route 22 Hit-Run Accident Tops North Castle Police Blotter North Castle Police are investing a hit-and-run accident that occurred on North Broadway in North White Plains on Friday. MTA Officer Pleads Guilty To Hitting Person With Baton In White Plains A 39-year-old Metropolitan Transportation Authority police officer was sentenced after pleading guilty to third-degree assault.Allan Fong was given a one-year conditional discharge and 50 hours of community service after pleading guilty to assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor. Former Miss Puerto Rico Yonkers Raising Money Following Hurricane YONKERS, N.Y. -- Layla Vazquez wants to help her fellow Puerto Ricans. Vazquez, who was named Miss Puerto Rico Yonkers in 2010 when she was 16 has launched a GoFundMe page to raise money to purchase supplies for the people of Guyama, where her family lives.
