Pearson of Sterling this week following a lengthy investigation, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. They've started a GoFundMe to help her win the fight of her life.  Doctors diagnosed Catherine Ipsan with a rare and aggressive cancer earlier this year. Since then, the mom of a 5-year-old son splits her time between Annandale and New York City for treatments, according to a GoFundMe her sister set up to pay for the medical bills and travel expenses. Leesburg Bank Robber Who Blamed Crime On Low Blood Sugar Gets 4 Years In Prison: Report A 66-year-old Virginia who robbed a Leesburg bank last year will spend the next four years in prison, Loudoun Now reported this week.  Kenneth W. Sencindiver pleaded guilty in March to robbing the M&T Bank on East Market Street, the newspaper said. The Winchester man approached a teller at the bank on Nov. 19 and handed her a note, prosecutors said during the trial.  It read: “I am armed; Give me all the money that’s in your drawer; do not put dye packs. Wegmans Says Goodbye To Plastic Bags At Virginia Stores Customers will soon no longer be able to get single-use plastic bags at Wegmans stores in Virginia, the company announced this week.  The grocery chain said stores in Leesburg, Dulles, Potomac, Lake Manassas, Virginia Beach, and Charlottesville would stop using the bags beginning on July 1. Body Found In James River Is Missing Virginia Woman: Police Medical officials say the body found in the James River last week is that of the missing 28-year-old woman who was one of two people who disappeared after going over a dam on Memorial Day.  The Virginia medical examiner announced Tuesday, June 14, that the body found on June 6 belongs to Sarah Erway, WRIC reported. The Chesterfield County woman was with a group of 12 friends who were swept over Bosher's Dam in Richmond while paddleboarding during the holiday weekend.
