An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Cortlandt Residents Vie For Seats On Town Board CORTLANDT, N.Y. -- Two seats on the Cortlandt Town Board are up for grabs on Election Day. Incumbent Democrats Francis Farrell and Richard Becker are being opposed by Republicans Lisa Marie Birdsall and Martin Mastromonaco. Supervisor Linda Puglisi, a Democrat, is running unopposed. Croton Democrats Battle Croton United In Village Elections CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Croton Democrats will be facing off against Croton United in this year's elections for mayor and seats on the village board. Mayor Leo Wiegman, a Democrat, is running for re-election against Croton United's Greg Schmidt, a former mayor. Wiegman is joined by incumbents Andrew Levitt and Maria Slippen. Yorktowners Head To The Polls After Contentious Campaign YORKTOWN, N.Y. -- The knockdown drag-out election campaign in Yorktown will be finally settled on Election Day. Supervisor Michael Grace, a Republican, is facing off against Councilman Vishnu Patel for Town Supervisor, a Democrat. Grace's slate includes incumbent Tom Diana and Edward Lachterman. Pleasantville Police Extract Person From Vehicle PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Pleasantville Police and other first responders helped extract an unidentified person from a car following an accident at Manville Road and Grandview Avenue Monday afternoon. Impact Of Sandy Still Felt Three Years Later LOWER HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Oct. 29 will be the three-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy making landfall in the Lower Hudson area. Homes were destroyed, power was out for weeks and waiting in line for gas for more than an hour became the norm. Three people died in Westchester, two of them children. Missing Westchester Man Found This story has been updated. PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Police announced Thursday night that Robert Reynolds, a 65-year-old Peekskill resident who went missing Thursday has been found. Police said he had been located safe. Police did not say where he was found. Reynolds went missing from the Westledge Nursing Home at 2000 Main St. at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police Looking For Missing Westchester Man PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Police are looking for Robert Reynolds, a 65-year-old man who has been missing from the Westledge Nursing Home at 2000 Main St. since 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Reynolds is a white male with a long grey beard and moustache, approximately 6’0” tall and 170 lbs. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and no shoes or socks. Anyone who spots Reynolds is asked to call the Peekskill Police Department at 914-737-8000, or dial 911.
