Staples High School English Teacher Dies WESTPORT, Conn. -- A 27-year-old English teacher at Staples High School died on Saturday, Jan. 23, according to the Westport News.  Cody Thomas had worked as a journalist before becoming a teacher. He also was an instructor for the Connecticut Writing Project at Fairfield University and was an advisor for the school's student newspaper, the Westport News reported.  Members of the emergency crisis team would be available for counsel to students beginning Monday morning, the Westport News said.  Click here to read the Westport News article.

Lodi Women's Society Inauguration Set For Jan. 25 LODI, N.J. -- The St. Joseph Society Men's Organization will host an inauguration ceremony for its new women's auxiliary on Monday, Jan. 25. The ceremony is part of the organization's 100th anniversary, which was officially celebrated on Dec. 7.  Parishioner Patrizia Pagano organized the start of the women's auxiliary club in December in the memory of her friend Paula LaFranca.
