Monroe Police Charge Teens With Attempted Burglary MONROE, Conn. -- Two Shelton teenage boys are facing multiple charges in connection to attempted burglaries in Monroe on Friday, Feb. 5, according to the Monroe Courier.  Police responded to reports of a security alarm being triggered on Bart Rd. Another call was made about a suspicious person on Deep Wood Circle. Fort Lee Couple Sues Dunkin' Donuts For Overcharging Customers FORT LEE, N.J. -- A Fort Lee Couple is suing Dunkin' Donuts for allegedly charging sales tax on non-taxable items and making an extra $4 million in the process, according to NJ.com.  Ron and Carol Frate state the coffee and donut chain charged customers in New Jersey and New York sales tax on bottled water and pre-packaged coffee. Flood Warning Issued For Hudson River In Poughkeepsie POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the Hudson river in Poughkeepsie through 7:24 p.m. on Tuesday. Flood stage for the Hudson river in this area is 5-feet. As of 8 a.m. the river was at 2.5 feet was was expected to reach flood stage by 11 a.m., reaching 5.2 feet by 1 p.m.  Minor flooding of low lands, boat docks and boat launches can be expected.  The river is expected to drop back below flood stage by 1 p.m.

Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, marks the end of the Carnival season and is the final day of celebration before the start of the lenten season begins on Ash Wednesday the following day.  The holiday traces its origins to medieval Europe to the French House of the Bourbons. It was held for the first time in North America in 1699.  Today, the holiday is marked by parades, king cake and formal balls.
