US Army Soldier, Chambersburg Native Trenton Benner Dies, 38
Support is surging for the family of Trenton Benner, U.S. Army soldier and Maryland dad of five who died on Tuesday, Dec. 12.
Trent, as he was affectionately known, was raised in Chambersburg, PA but lived in Union Bridge, MD and — according to his obituary — had been serving active duty for the Army at the time of his death.
Daily Voice has reached out to the US Army for further information on his death and service.

A Hagerstown man has been charged with setting fire to his brother's utility trailer hauling brush this week, authorities announced.
Christian Reyes Torres, 25, had been staying with his brother but was asked to leave on Thursday, Dec. 14, the State Fire Marshal's Office said.
Torres later returned and began arguing with family members, and threatened to burn down the house, officials said.
It wasn't long before it was discovered that Torres' brother's trailer was found engulfed in flames, along with the brush and tree limbs it had been hauling, officials said.

Speeding Driver Charged In Crash That Killed 27-Year-Old Engineer In Fairfax County
Charges have been filed against a 53-year-old driver who was speeding before a crash that killed a 27-year-old motorcyclist in Fairfax County, police said.
Gael Cruchet, 53, of Ashburn was driving the 2016 Acura TLX well above the posted speed limit when they struck Zafeer Piracha, of Lorton, on Rt. 28 in Centreville on Friday, Nov. 27, police said.
Piracha was ejected from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene.
