Parkway Police Shootout Kills Car Thief, Injures Cranford Officer In Woodbridge: AG (Update) A car thief was killed by a police officer in a pursuit on the Garden State Parkway Thursday, Dec. 28, state officials confirmed. The stolen vehicle was being pursued by officers from the Cranford police department when it crashed on the southbound side of the highway in Woodbridge on Dec. 28, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office said in a news release. Cara Wolfe Of Fredericksburg Dies Suddenly On Christmas: Obituary Cara Wolfe of Fredericksburg died suddenly on Monday, Dec. 25. Cara, who was 46 years old, had been battling a bacterial infection, according to her obituary on the Covenant Funeral Home website. Born in Hershey, PA, Cara went on to earn a degree in computer information systems from Strayer University and had recently been working as a pharmacy tech at CVS, her obit says. Off-Duty Officer Carjacked In Prince George's: Police An off-duty police officer was carjacked Thursday evening, Dec. 28 in Prince George's County, authorities said. The officer was loading his family into his private vehicle when he was approached by the suspect, forcing him out of the car on the 6700 block of Oxon Hill Road, around 5:05 p.m., Prince George's County Police Department brass said. Thermal Scientist From New Jersey Makes Forbes' 30 Under 30 Forbes has released its prestigious "30 Under 30" list for 2024. On it is Drew Lilley, a 28-year-old Chatham native and UPenn grad. Lilley, a thermal scientist, CEO, and co-founder of Calion Technologies, made the Energy category. Missing Teen Prompts Concerns In South Jersey Police have released an updated photo of a 16-year-old girl missing for two weeks out of South Jersey. Nicolette Marchetti was last seen on Dec. 14, wearing a black shirt, red/black checkered pants, and carrying a black/gold purse. She is possibly in the West Deptford/National Park area. Hell Ride: Man Who Assaulted 31-Year-Old Woman During Drive In Virginia Arrested, Cops Say A Virginia man wanted for assaulting a woman on a hellish ride through Prince William County has been arrested, police said. Joshua Nicholas Tyler, 26, was driving with the 31-year-old woman when the two began arguing Tuesday night, Dec. 12 on Prince William Parkway, Prince William County police said. These NJ Towns Got The Most Rain In This Week's Storm: NWS Yet another December rain storm has come and gone, leaving many New Jersey towns under water. According to the National Weather Service's Philadelphia/Mount Holly office, between one and three inches of rain fell across the area, ending early Thursday, Dec. 28. The town that got the most amount of rain is Washington Township (Warren County), with 3.38 inches, the weather service said. 22-Year-Old Dead In Head-On Christmas Crash: Virginia State Police A 22-year-old man died in a head-on crash in Rockhingham County on Christmas, Virginia State Police said. Garcia F. Hernandez was heading north on Route 11 (N. Valley Pike) in a 2015 Subaru Legacy when he crossed over the center line and struck a 2004 GMC Envoy head-on around 12:10 p.m. Monday, Dec. 25, VSP Sgt.
