New York Jets Fire Head Coach Robert Saleh: Report The New York Jets have fired coach Robert Saleh, ESPN reports. Gang Green has started the season 2-3, losing to the Minnesota Vikings 23-17 on Sunday, Oct. 6. With 40-year-old Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, the Jets were considered all-in with Super Bowl aspirations, hoping to break their 14-year playoff drought, the longest active streak in professional sports. Man Assaulted, Attempted Robbery In Road Rage Incident: Newark PD Police are looking for two people after a man was assaulted during a road rage incident in Newark on Tuesday, Sept. 24, authorities said. At 4:50 p.m., a man exited his vehicle at Clinton Avenue and Bergen Street and accused the victim of hitting his car, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. Man Shot In Jersey City: Authorities A 34-year-old man was briefly hospitalized after being shot multiple times in Jersey City on the early morning of Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said. At 3:35 a.m., the man was transported to a nearby hospital from Eastern Parkway and Garfield Avenue after he sustained non-life threatening injuries to the right buttocks, right thigh area and right wrist, Kimberly Wallace-Scalfione, a spokeswoman for the mayor's office said. He was treated and released from the hospital on Monday, Oct. 7, Wallace-Scalfione said. The investigation is ongoing, Wallace-Scalfione said.

Man With Dementia Missing In Belleville: Police A 72-year-old man diagnosed with dementia has been missing in Belleville since Sunday, Oct. 6, authorities said. Oscar was last seen in the area of St. Peters Church on William Street wearing a white jacket with red, yellow and blue stripes, blue jeans and blue sneakers, Belleville police said. Cause Of Death Released For Whitney Houston's Newark Mom, Cissy Houston, 91 Cissy Houston, a Grammy Award-winning gospel singer and mother of Whitney Houston, died at home in Newark on Monday, Oct. 7. Man Took Video Of Girl In Shower: Guttenberg PD A 46-year-old Guttenberg man was arrested and charged on Sunday, Oct. 6 with taking a video of his ex-girlfriend's young daughter exiting the shower, authorities said.
