Police, DA Mum On Lacey Carr Toxicology Report CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Croton Police Department and the Westchester District Attorney's Office are declining to comment on reports that Lacey Carr, a 6-year-old who was found dead at her home in April, had a toxic mix of drugs in her system. Detective Sgt. John Nikotopolis of the Croton Police Department said there was nothing new in the investigation and they were still waiting for all of the toxicology reports to come in. Putnam Valley On Edge After Report Of Attempted Attack On 14-Year-Old Girl PUTNAM VALLEY, N.Y. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate after a 14-year-old girl said she was attacked while walking her dog in Putnam Valley. The teenager was walking the family dog along Timberline Court at about 5 p.m. when a man she did not know drove up in a car and physically grabbed her, according to the Putnam County sheriff's department. Peekskill Police Use Facebook To Get Information On Vandalized Cars PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill Police are offering a $500 reward for information after tires were slashed on more than 40 cars in the city. Police posted video on their Facebook page of one of the suspects in the tire-slashing spree. Peekskill Embraces Native Son George Pataki's Presidential Run PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- George Pataki may be a longshot in his run for the Republican nomination but he has the support of his hometown of Peekskill. Pataki, a Garrison resident who served as governor for three terms and announced his candidacy last week, was born and raised in Peekskill. He was elected mayor in 1981 and was later elected as assemblyman and state senator before ascending to the governor's office in 1994. Pataki now lives in Garrison. Pleasantville High School won four Metro Awards Monday night for "Man of La Mancha", including Best Production. Firefighters Contain Electrical Fire In New Rochelle Restaurant NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Firefighters were able to quickly contain a fire at Queen City Buffet Tuesday afternoon in New Rochelle. A sign over the front entrance caught on fire at the restaurant, located at 566 Main St., according to Chief Louis Dimeglio. Dimeglio said firefighters arrived on the scene within two minutes and were able to locate the smoke and isolate the wire. "They had it out in seconds," Dimeglio said. Dimeglio said firefighters remained on the scene for about 35 minutes. There were no injuries.

Bald Eagles Are Back In Big Way In Westchester, Hudson Valley BEDFORD, N.Y. -- Thirty years ago, it would've been a rare sight to see a bald eagle flying in the Westchester sky. Now, bald eagles have become so common, places like Teatown in Ossining host an annual EagleFest.
