Westchester County Exec Rob Astorino Expects To Run For Third Term WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, who lives in Hawthorne, said Friday he is planning to run for another term in 2017. Astorino revealed his future political plans on WGDJ Radio in Albany. Astorino was first elected in 2009 and re-elected in 2013. Crash Closes Taconic Parkway In Yorktown, Causes Serious Injuries YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- State Police are investigating a serious accident that occurred near FDR Park and has shut down the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown Heights. The accident was reported at 3:45 p.m. According to state police at the Cortlandt barracks, it was a four-car accident. Ossining Resident Shines In HBO Miniseries Set In Yonkers OSSINING, N.Y. -- Looking like a "troublemaker" on a movie set was a positive for Ossining resident Ray Arrucci.  Arrucci, who runs The Cortlandt School of Performing Arts in Croton, with his wife, Carol, was cast as an extra in "Show Me A Hero," a miniseries airing on HBO starting Sunday night that was filmed in Yonkers and is about racial tensions in Yonkers in the 1980s.  On his first day on set in October, Arrucci was one of 100 people in a demonstration.
