Inmate Attacks, Injures Four Correctional Officers At Green Haven DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- A 33-year-old inmate serving time for an attempted murder, assault and robbery attacked and injured four police officers at the Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville on May 25, according to the New York State Correctional Officers Police Benevolent Association. McDonough Forcing Republican Primary For Carmel Town Board Seat CARMEL, N.Y. -- Carmel Councilwoman Suzi McDonough is once again bucking the Republican establishment.McDonough, who last year ran an unsuccessful primary for state assembly against Kevin Byrne, announced she is running for a third term on the Carmel town board despite the lack of Republican endorsement. Teen Arrested As Police Break Up Underage Drinking Party In Yorktown YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- An underage drinking party in Yorktown resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old Saturday night, Yorktown Police said. Police responded to a noise complaint at 10:10 p.m. at Ridgeview Lane and discovered the party. The 17-year-old allegedly provided alcohol to several youths under the age of 21 at the residence.  He was arrested and transported back to police headquarters for processing. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on July 6.
