Astorino Drops Indian Point Lawsuits Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino has decided not to go forward with his lawsuits trying to stop the closure of Indian Point Energy Center in Buchanan. Astorino's attorney filed paperwork to discontinue the lawsuits Thursday, according to LoHud. Astorino was defeated by Senator George Latimer last week in his bid for a third term. The New Castle Town Board passed legislation that said vape shops cannot be within 2,000 feet of the lot line of any school. Ossining Crazy Hat Kickball Tournament Will Benefit Disaster Relief OSSINING, N.Y. -- Crazy hats will be worn and balls will be kicked in Ossining...all for a good cause.  The Ossining School District is hosting a Crazy Hat Kickball Tournament on Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Veteran's Memorial Field. Suggest donations are $3 to 5 for kids and $5 to $10 for adults. Faculty and staff from each school will be on hand competing.
