Mural Depicting Confederate Flag To Be Replaced At Wappinger School WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- A mural depicting the Civil War that features a Confederate flag will be removed from Fishkill Plains Elementary School,  the Wappingers Central School District announced. The school district made the announcement following a meeting of its school leadership team. The discussion was held in executive session which lasted for the duration of the meeting, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.
