Bomb Squad Called To Loudoun County School For Science Project Gone Wrong A science project at an Ashburn high school ended with the bomb squad evacuating students this week.  On Monday, May 23, administrators at Independence High School contacted the school's resource officer about some scorch marks on the sidewalk outside of the school, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.  During the investigation, the deputy found a suspicious-looking device and contacted the Loudoun County Bomb Squad and the Fire Marshal's Office, an incident report said. Deputies Investigating Second Suspicious Death in Ashburn (Developing) Authorities say they have found a second dead body at a home in Ashburn.  First responders called Loudoun County deputies out to the home in the 200060 block of Old Line Terrance just after 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24. They found the body of a man outside, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said. Later that day, investigators say they've found the body of a woman inside the house.  Police are not releasing any details about the bodies at this time.  Deputies do not believe there is any threat to the community.
