54-Year-Old Woman Killed In Fairfax County Crash: Police Police say alcohol and speed were likely factors in an early morning wreck in Falls Church that killed a 54-year-old woman and sent two others to the hospital. The wreck happened after 2 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, when a Honda Accord T-boned a Jetta waiting to make a left onto Skyline Plaza from S. George Mason Drive, Fairfax County police said in a news release. Gladis Suyapa Deras, 54, of Falls Church, who was a passenger in the Jetta, died at the scene. Arlington Man Aggressively Attacks Victim On The Street: Police An Arlington man said he was attacked for no reason while walking on a sidewalk Tuesday. The man was in the Colonial Village Apartments area along Key Boulevard just after 5 p.m. when a man walked up to him to start a conversation, an Arlington Police report said. He ignored him and continued walking before he was suddenly attacked. The suspect then ran away. Police searched the area while paramedics treated the man for his injuries at the scene. Viral Video Shows Student-On-Student Robbery At Leesburg High School: Police A new viral video students at a Leesburg high school are sharing reportedly shows one of their fellow classmates being robbed. A student at Tuscarora High School told administrators on Wednesday, May 25, that a classmate attacked them in a bathroom earlier that morning while another one stole their stuff, Leesburg police said. Sex Offender Busted Lingering Near School Bus Stop in North Stafford: Police A 45-year-old sex offender lied to deputies about his identity when he was caught hanging around a school bus stop earlier week, authorities said. Teddy Morrow, of Orange, was spotted by a concerned resident who contacted the Stafford County Sheriff's Office about a suspicious person hanging around a North Stafford bus stop at 3 p.m., deputies said. Woodbridge Man Caught Breaking Into Building: Police Police said they caught a Woodbridge man red-handed earlier this week when they found him skulking inside a business in the middle of the night. Hernandez Fuentes, 21, tripped the alarm when he broke into Nationwide Security in Woodbridge a little after 3 a.m. on Sunday night, May 22, Prince William County police said in an incident report. Lorton Drug Dealer Who Caused Woman's Overdose Sentenced To 22 Years In Prison A Lorton man was sentenced to 22 years in federal prison for causing a woman to die from a drug overdose, the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia said. Julian Velasquez, 36, distributed counterfeit Xanax containing fentanyl to the woman, labelled as a 29-year-old E.M., who accidentally overdosed in August 2020, the office reports. Fredericksburg Police Searching For Missing Teenager Police in Fredericksburg are asking for the public's help in finding a missing teenager. Nevaeh Theresa-Gayle Epps disappeared from the Forest Village Apartment Complex at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25. Suspect Pistol Whips Victim During Crystal City Armed Robbery: Police A person was seriously injured when an armed robber pistol whipped them earlier this week, police said. Three friends were walking along a sidewalk in Crystal City on Monday night, May 23, when two men approached them from behind, pulled a gun, and demanded money, Arlington County Police said in an incident report. Police Close Highway In Prince William County After Multi-Car Wreck A multi-car wreck closed a portion of Jefferson Davis Highway in Dumfries on Tuesday night, May 24. Police tweeted out just before 8 p.m. that the highway would be closed near the intersection of River Heritage Boulevard because of the crash. Police did not release any information on the crash.
