Ridgewood Special Disabilities Cheerleading Program Starts This Week RIDGEWOOD, N.J — Ridgewood is launching a new "Dream Team" cheerleading program for children with disabilities.  The program is was created by Allstar Cheerleader and RIdgewood Girl Scout Sarah Bradley, who runs Sharing The Arts, a 501(c)3 non-profit preforming arts program. It will meet once a week every Wednesday in January (1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27) from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Gym 3 at Ridgewood High School. The program is available for children ages six and up and the cost is $20 per child.  To enroll email Sarah Bradley at dreamteam.goldwater@gmail.com.

Ridgewood Council To Vote On Parking Deck Bond Ordinance RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — Ridgewood Council will vote on a bond ordinance to raise the necessary $12.3 million dollars to build a parking deck on Hudson Street at the Jan. 6 work session. If the ordinance fails to pass the council, the town may turn to the Bergen County Improvement Authority to finance the project, Ridgewood Mayor Paul Aronsohn told Daily Voice. The village would then lease the property until they can pay back the Improvement Authority, he said. The discovery of elevated lead levels dates back to a June 2012 monitoring of buildings in the area.  A notification that Ridgewood Water sent out to residents on Wednesday is a required follow-up by the Environmental Protection Agency.
