Lyndhurst Friends Look To Aid Family Grieving For Teen LYNDHURST, NJ. — Stacy Sant'Ana underwent an unprecedented four heart transplants during her 23 years of life, and she faced each one of them with courage and positivity. It is in her honor that family friend RoseAnn Almeida of Lyndhurst has helped start a GoFundMe campaign to assist the family after Sant'Ana succumbed to heart failure on January 27. Demarest Ambulance Corps Gets New Rig DEMERAST, N.J. — The Demarest borough council passed an ordinance allocating $323,000 in bonds to purchase a new ambulance at a council meeting on February 8. The ambulance will replace a 12-year-old rig currently in use by the Demarest Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad Adds Third Ambulance To Fleet LYNDHURST, N.J. — The Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad has added a new rig to its fleet, bringing its total to three. The $184,000 2015 Ford E450 comes fully-equipped and was built by PL Custom Emergency Vehicles. The new ambulance has the most updated safety features, Lyndhurst Police Emergency Squad Captain Tarcisio Nunes said. "During the most recent snow storm there were three ambulances ready to go," Nunes said. "The third ambulance allows us to ensure that all three ambulances can go through a maintenance rotation to ensure the trucks are in tip top shape."
