Firefighters Free Driver In Rollover Crash In Shelton SHELTON, Conn. — Firefighters from Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Company in Shelton freed a driver in a rollover crash early on Friday, March 4.Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Companies 1 & 4 were dispatched to Constitution Boulevard in the area of Plaskon Drive for the reported motor vehicle rollover.  Squad 1 arrived to find one SUV off the road on its side with one occupant still in the vehicle on a morning with wet roads.  Squad 1 & Engine 2 stabilized the vehicle and assisted the occupant out to the care of EMS.  The crews cleared the scene shortly thereafter.

Tompkins Elementary School in Croton-on-Hudson assumed the identities of historical or currently relevant figures during the school’s annual Biography Museum. Dressed as historic or currently relevant figures, the students shared facts about their chosen personas’ lives and described how they have contributed to history.  “I am always so blown away when I see the students’ final projects,” said second-grade teacher Rebekah Rupp. “The kids work so incredibly hard on them and it shows at the museum.”

Irvington Students Raise $620 In Fundraiser To Fight Childhood Cancer IRVINGTON, N.Y. -- Students from Main Street School in Irvington who are members of one of the Destination Imagination teams at the school, "The Imaginators," raised $620 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF).The foundation supports children with cancer.  The fourth-graders learned the importance of community service as they made lemonade to fight pediatric cancer.  Team members built and set up a stand in the cafeteria on Feb. 23 and 26 and sold cups of lemonade during lunch.  For more information on ALSF or to make a donation, click here.
