Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

Suspects On Loose After Attempted Armed Robbery At Riverhead Liquor Store Two suspects are on the loose after an overnight attempted armed robbery at a Long Island liquor store. It happened around 8:10 p.m. Saturday, April 29 in Riverhead. That's when the two masked men entered Lucky Wines & Liquors at 134 West Main St. with what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money, the Riverhead Town Police Department said. Both subjects fled the store with no proceeds. Riverhead Police patrol units and Riverhead K-9 unit canvassed the area and were unable to locate the suspects. Long Island Man Driving Drunk Crashes Into Cruiser In Massapequa, Police Say A man allegedly driving drunk crashed into a police vehicle on a Long Island roadway, according to authorities. The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29 in Massapequa. Suffolk County resident Rene Velasquez Guevara, age 52, of Medford, was operating a 2013 Jeep Wrangler heading southbound on Hicksville Road when he collided with the cruiser that was traveling northbound on Hicksville Road in the vicinity of Sunrise Highway. Gold Medal Flour Products Recalled Due To Salmonella Contamination General Mills is recalling Gold Medal flour products after Salmonella has turned up in testing. The company announced on Friday, April 28 a voluntary national recall of 2-, 5- and 10-pound bags of its Gold Medal Unbleached and Bleached All Purpose Flour with a “better if used by” date of March 27, 2024, and March 28, 2024. $31M Trip-Fall Fraud Scheme: Attorneys, Doctor Sentenced For Defrauding NY Businesses Sentences have been handed out for two attorneys and a doctor convicted of defrauding New York businesses and their insurance companies of more than $31 million through a massive, three-year trip-and-fall fraud scheme.
