Man Dies Days After Early-Morning Long Island Robbery: Police A man who was critically injured during an early-morning robbery on Long Island has died, police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The victim, identified as Justinn Thomas, 30, of South Hempstead, succumbed to the head injuries he suffered in the robbery, according to the Nassau County Police Department. The robbery happened near May Street and Grand Avenue in South Hempstead at approximately 5:27 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, police said.
