Girl, 16, Caught With Loaded Gun During Traffic Stop In Watervliet, Police Say A routine traffic stop in the Capital Region ended with a 16-year-old girl in handcuffs on weapons charges. Watervliet Police stopped a vehicle at around 5 p.m. Sunday, March 23. During the investigation, the officer determined that the 16-year-old girl driving did not have a valid driver’s license. The officer then discovered a loaded, illegally-possessed 22 caliber handgun protruding from the waistband of a 16-year-old girl in the passenger’s seat, police said.
