The gunman who shot and killed rising Maryland boxer Oludayo Olugbemi will spend the rest of his life in prison. Nicholas Francis Giroux, 37, of Odenton, was sentenced to life in prison plus 20 years for the murder of the 27-year-old Olugbemi, who was killed last year in cold blood, according to the Anne Arundel County State's Attorney's Office. Chaos broke out on a Northampton County street when a fight led to a stabbing and multiple gunshots, Pennsylvania State Police announced on Wednesday, Aug. 27. A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized after shooting himself in the hand in Newark on Monday, Aug. 25, authorities said. At 10:50 a.m., police responded Newark Beth Israel Medical Center on a call of a 7-year-old boy arriving there with his parent for treatment of a self-inflicted gunshot injury to the hand, Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda said.
