39-Year-Old Struck, Killed By Train In Hudson Valley
An investigation is underway after a person was struck and killed by a train in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened at around 3:35 p.m. Friday, March 10 in Ulster County in the area of Winsupply on Morton Blvd in the Town of Ulster. That's when the Ulster County Sheriff's Office says a 911 caller reported the CSX train striking the pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 39-year-old man from Kingston, was pronounced dead at the scene. Victim Struck By Freight Train In Paterson Suffers Broken Leg
A freight train injury in Paterson sent an unidentified victim to the hospital, responders said. The person victim suffered a broken leg when hit by the CSX train in the area of Lafayette and East 16th streets around 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, they said. The victim was conscious and alert when taken to St. Joseph's University Medical Center with a fractured femur, responders said. CSX police were investigating. CSX Train Kills Victim While Traveling Through Maryland: Reports
An unidentified person was struck and killed by a CSX train in Maryland on Thursday morning, according to reports. Shortly before 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, a person was reportedly struck by a train and killed in Edgewood near Van Bibber and Barberry roads. It is unclear why the person was on the tracks. Fire Burns CSX Train To Crisp Near Fallston Airport
A fire charred the inside of a CSX locomotive near Fallston Airport on Monday, Dec. 5, firefighters said. Footage posted by responders shows the seats and equipment of the train charred following the blaze between routes 152 and 24 around 6:45 p.m. Amtrak and MARC commuter lines were not impacted.

A car hauler was hit by a train in the Hudson Valley after the driver pulled onto one of the tracks, authorities said. A witness said a young man was playing chicken when he was struck and killed by a freight train overnight in Dumont. The victim was pronounced shortly after midnight Thursday, Sept. 1, after being struck by the southbound CSX train at the Madison crossing about 20 minutes earlier. A witness told responders that the young man ran across the tracks trying to beat the train but didn't make it, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the incident said. A driver was pronounced dead at a local hospital after police pulled him from his crashed, burning car on an industrial road off Route 46 in Ridgefield.
