Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Plastic Bag Ban Approved In Greenwich Greenwich's Representative Town Meeting approved a ban on Monday, March 12 of single-use plastic bags in town but it does not come with a 23-cent fee per each paper bag used, something environmental advocates also were seeking.  By a vote of 141 to 54, with two abstensions, the town meeting approved the ban after more than two hours of debate, according to the Greenwich Free Press. Forum On Opioid Crisis Coming To East Fishkill The region's painkiller overdose crisis is the topic on Thursday, March 15, during a Town Hall forum sponsored by the Town of East Fishkill. About 4:45 a.m., on March 12, police officers were dispatched on a report of a suspicious vehicle.
