Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Kennedys Win Hospital Defamation Lawsuit; Settled For Nearly $200K A highly publicized nearly six-year-old defamation lawsuit was settled this week in favor of Douglas and Molly Kennedy of Chappaqua. The Kennedys countersued Northern Westchester Hospital, two of its nurses and the husband of one of the nurses. The couple's lawsuit followed Kennedy's acquittal of child endangerment and harassment charges stemming from a Jan. 7, 2012 altercation at the hospital in Mount Kisco. The hospital did not comment. Theresa Fay Olesen, 104, Broadway Casting Director From Pound Ridge Theresa Fay Olesen, a resident of Pound Ridge for more than 50 years, died on March 26. She recently celebrated her 104th birthday. She was born in Troy, N.Y. on March 10, 1914, to James and Mary Tracey Fay.   Known as "Terry" to friends and family, she worked as a Broadway casting director for more than 40 years. She is survived by her loving children Robert, Ellen Nixon and Tracey Haller. Deep In The Heart Of Pelham: Elementary Schools Raise $25K For AHA Fourth and fifth graders across all four elementary schools in Pelham combined to raise more than $25,000 for the American Heart Association through the annual Jump Rope for Heart fundraiser.  Each year, the schools’ physical education teachers organize the event, in which students collect sponsors and donations before jumping rope to raise funds and awareness.  The money that is raised goes to help children with heart-health issues. In addition to the fundraiser, the students develop healthy habits and learn about the value of community service, according to school officials.

Seen This BMW? Police Search For Stamford Vandalism Suspects Stamford Police released a video on Monday showing three people suspected of vandalizing garbage trucks on March 10. Police said the trucks were vandalized on Fahey Street.  On the surveillance video, three suspects are seen exiting a dark colored BMW convertible with black rims and possibility tinted windows.  Though the video is not very clear, the car is distinctive.  Police asked that if you be able to identify the vehicle and its owner, please contact the stamford Police Property Crimes Division at 203-977-4407.

Remington, Maker Of Rifle Used By Newtown Shooter, Files For Bankruptcy Remington, a rifle company founded in Utica, N.Y. 202 years ago, filed for bankruptcy protection on Sunday, March 25 due to declining sales. One of its rifles was used in the notorious school shooting at Newtown in 2012. The shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in left 26 people dead, including 20 children. In its Chapter 11  filing in Delaware federal court, Remington said it was $100 million to $500 million in debt and hoped to continue to operate while under bankruptcy protection.
