Pleasantville native Jon Craig is special editor for the Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange and Dutchess Daily Voice sites. He is also the primary reporter for Daily Voice Plus Politics in Westchester and Fairfield.

Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Jon also writes periodically for the Cornell Chronicle.

Norwalk Icon New York Bakery Will Close New York Bakery, a popular downtown destination in Norwalk for nearly seven decades, is  closing.  Dominic Muro, owner of the bakery at 52 Main St., called the May 27 closing bittersweet, but said several factors left him no choice. “It’s been in our heads for quite a while. It took a lot of thinking and lot of tears,” Muro told The Hour in this report.  Muro said the parking situation in this Norwalk "is absolutely brutal. It’s killing our deli business." Muro's wholesale business -- with more than 60 customers -- will continue uninterrrupted.

Apple Store, Support Fake Calls Among Scams Making Rounds In Westchester A Westchester resident told Daily Voice that she received three calls on Thursday, May 17 purporting to be from Apple.Inc with the phone number of the Apple store in the Westchester Mall, which is still under construction. It's among several scams involving Apple making the rounds in the area, authorities say. It warns not to use any Apple devices because there has been something (hacking is not the word they used) to do with iCloud.
