Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Multiple injuries were reported in the 11 a.m. crash Wednesday on the Garden State Parkway in Middletown Township, according to initial reports. The crash occurred northbound in the express lanes at mile-marker 112.1.  An unconfirmed report said that at least five people required hospitalization. Police ID Pedestrian, 49, Killed In Trenton Crash Trenton police have identified the 49-year-old pedestrian killed by a car on Sunday evening. Abraham Lopez from Deutz Avenue in Hamilton Township was struck about 6:30 p.m., according to a Trenton police captain. That victim's body had to be pulled from underneath a car at Route 129 and Lalor Street, according to initial reports.  Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Authorities: Car Burglar Admits Breaking Into 2,000 Vehicles In New Jersey, Pennsylvania Authorities have arrested a suspect who admits breaking into about 2,000 vehicles in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Keith A. Johnson, 33, of Yardley, in Bucks County, PA, is charged with numerous counts of theft and burglary, as well as 76 counts of loitering/prowling at night, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's office.
