Jon graduated from Cornell University and received his master's degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Across a 35-year career, he's worked as a reporter for daily newspapers in Chicago, New York, Ohio & Washington, D.C and as managing editor for weekly newspapers in Rye, White Plains and Harrison.

Woman Found Dead In Car, Man Charged With Desecration: Monmouth Prosecutor A 28-year-old man from Central Jersey has been charged with desecration of human remains after a woman was found dead in a vehicle in Atlantic Highlands. Jordan J. Vilcatoma-Correjo, 28, of Edison, was arrested on Saturday, June 11, according to Mark Spivey, a spokesman for the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office. Police found the woman’s body around 7:45 a.m. Friday, June 10 near Asbury Avenue, between Navesink and Grand avenues.  The victim has not been publicly identified because family notifications are not complete. Vilcatoma-Correjo was being held in the Monmouth County Jail.

Cheese of Cedarville. At approximately 10:40 a.m., on Wednesday June 15, Harrison Township police and fire departments were dispatched to Timberlane Welding, 413 Swedesboro Road, Mullica Hill, for a report of a loud explosion. Man, 31, Stabbed Dead In Central Jersey: Prosecutor A 31-year-old man was stabbed to death in New Brunswick, authorities said. On Tuesday, June 14, at approximately 11:30 p.m., police responded to Seaman Street and Railroad Avenue following the report of a stabbing, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Director Anthony A. State Park Drowning Victim ID'd As Toms River Woman Authorities have identified the 59-year-old woman who drowned Monday, June 13 at Island Beach State Park as Toms River woman, NJ Advance Media reported.
