A GoFundMe page has been established and 280 people have donated $26,501 in two days. The Furci family is hoping to raise $40,000. Furci initially had nausea, and a loss of energy and appetite. A lump on her stomach was determined to be a tumor that grew to 2.5 lbs and was removed from her abdomen. The Armonk resident recently spent the last four months hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, from Georgia to Maine. Police Search For Jefferson Valley Bank Robbery Suspect JEFFERSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- A Putnam County Savings Bank in Jefferson Valley was robbed on Friday afternoon, according to Yorktown Police. At about 2 p.m., a light skinned black male, approximately 6 feet 2 inches tall, and wearing a black baseball hat, sunglasses, light colored pants, and a white and green hoodie walked into the bank, according to police. He handed several plastic bags to the teller and instructed her to put money in the bag, according to police. He then left the bank in an unknown direction. Town Of Cortlandt Hosting 9/11 Dedication Ceremony CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. -- The Town of Cortlandt, along with the Villages of Buchanan and Croton-on-Hudson will be dedicating a Sept. 11 memorial on Sept. 11 at 4 p.m. at Croton Landing.  The memorial, "Reaching Through The Shadow," has been in the works since 2009.
