Student Draws Awareness To Healthy Life Choices In Bergenfield PARAMUS, N.J. -- Paramus Catholic sophomore student Majandra Sanchez is working to help Bergenfield residents make better, healthier lifestyle choices. Sanchez volunteerd her time by making a poster that is hung up in the Bergenfield Public Health Center about healthy living in honor of Healthy Hearts Month. Passaic County Passes Resolution Supporting Restart Of Rail Project PATERSON, N.J. -- The governing bodies of Elmwood Park, Hackensack, Hawthorne, Paterson, and the County of Passaic passed resolutions voicing support to restart the Passaic-Bergen Rail Project on the New York Susquehanna & Western (NYS&W) freight tracks running across Passaic and Bergen Counties. West Milford Students Donate To Animal Shelter WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- Westbrook Elementary School students got to don their pajamas during school in an effort to raise money for a local charity recently. Student's paid $1 while faculty and staff donated $5 for the privilege of sporting their nighttime attire around school. The $360 raised went to the West Milford Animal Shelter Society.

Bergen Freeholders Award Nearly $170k To Friendship House In Hackensack HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The Bergen County Freeholders on Wednesday unanimously passed a resolution awarding $169,250 for various renovations to North Jersey Friendship House in Hackensack.
