Pompton Lakes Rhino Theatre Expands POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- Rhino Theatre in Pompton Lakes is opening a second location in town in May. The Rhino Studio 237 will feature a 90-seat black box performance space along with three rehearsal spaces and two rooms for private lessons.  The new space will feature plays, musicals, open mic nights, screenings of classic films and more.  More details on the grand opening celebration in May will be posted on the Rhino Theatre website as they become available.

Federal Officials Talk Dangerous Chemicals In Ringwood RINGWOOD, N.J. -- Federal officials issued an apology to Ringwood residents for failing to announce the discovery of more dangerous chemicals at the former Fort Motor Company site, according to NorthJersey.com. Environmental Protection Agency said they waited three months to tell citizens about the 1,4-dioxane found in ground water at nearly 100 times the state standard, NorthJersey.com reported.  The EPA is still developing a cleanup plan for the site, NorthJersey.com said.  Click here to read the NorthJersey.com article.

Demarest Students Compete At State Career Development Conference DEMAREST, N.J. -- Nine students from Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest competed in the State Career Development Conference in February. Three students placed high enough in state competition to qualify for the finals round and received a medal for their outstanding achievement: Veer Shah, Sean Costa, and Roey Rozen. Each student also received trophies for the highest score in the written events or role-plays. To qualify for competition, students had to place in the top of their category at the regional competition, held on January 6, 2016 at Ramapo College.
