Landscaper Impaled By Tree in Summit: Authorities A landscaper was impaled by a tree in Summit on Friday, June 27, authorities said. The landscaper fell while trimming trees and bushes and a tree branch impaled his neck, causing significant injury, a spokesperson for the City of Summit said. He was rushed to Morristown Medical Center and is in critical but serious condition, authorities said. His identity has not been released, and it is unknown where in Summit the incident occurred.
