The chances of a white Christmas this year are looking slim, and the end of the year is looking wet. The holiday weekend will be mostly dry with mild temps before a post-Christmas storm moves in over the Northeast on Tuesday night, Dec. 26, according to AccuWeather. Police ID Woman Killed In Officer Involved Virginia Hotel Incident
Police have identified the woman who was killed in a police-involved shooting over the weekend at a Virginia hotel. Melissa R. Tompkins, 40, of no fixed addressed, was fatally shot by police after hitting an officer in the head with his baton on Sunday night, Dec. 17, Virginia State Police said. Stratsburg police responded to a 9-1-1 call for an erratic person damaging property at a hotel on Signal Knob Drive around 11 p.m., police said. Pair Arrested Weeks After Group Surrounds Vehicle, Fires Shots In Arlington: Cops
Two arrests have been made in a shooting that happened earlier this month in Arlington, police said. Elijah Broadus, 21, and Isaiah Grady, 18, were charged for their roles in a shooting in which at least one person in a group of six fired at a vehicle leaving a parking lot on S. Kenmore Street and 23rd Street S., on Dec. 2, Arlington County police said. Broadus was arrested on Dec. 20 and charged with shooting at an occupied vehicle, discharge of a firearm within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and wearing a mask to conceal identity, police said. …

A 23-year-old Fredericksburg driver was being held without bond after leading a police pursuit at more than twice the speed limit through Stafford, authorities said. Jhonattan Varela Rangel was spotted going faster than the traffic around his Dodge Charger around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 19, south on Warrenton Road near Olde Forge Drive, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. Court documents revealed disturbing details about the abuse suffered by five girls for more than five years at the hands of the three adults they had been living within Cape May. Virginia Car Dealership Employee Wanted For Hitting Co-Worker In Face During Argument: Police
A 30-year-old man is wanted for assaulting a coworker at Toyota Dodge during an argument in Virginia, police said. Maverick Bladimir Moreno Bolanos is accused of striking his 39-year-old male coworker in the face during an argument that escalated around 12:25 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, Prince William County police said. It happened at the Toyota Dodge on Richmond Highway in Woodbridge, authorities said. The victim was treated at an area hospital for a non-life threatening injury. Following the investigation, officers obtained an arrest warrant for Moreno Bolanos, who remains at large.
