An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Ossining Police Officer Jeff Chavez Promoted To Detective OSSINING, N.Y. -- There's a new detective in Ossining. Officer Jeff Chavez was appointed to detective Wednesday, having been a member of the Ossining Police Department for twelve years. During that time he has been a part of the Police Mountain Bike Unit, SWAT Team, and Street Crime Unit. Policing in Ossining is a family affair for the Chavezes. Jeff's brothers, J.P. and Addison are also members of the force.

Croton-Harmon Forms Task Force Following Sex Assault Fallout CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y.-- A task force has been formed at the Croton-Harmon School District after a student said she was bullied and threatened after accusing two students of sexual assault. Peekskill Opens Warming Center PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Peekskill is offering a place for people to come in from the cold. Music Lovers Rejoice At Buchanan Record Store BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- Nestled inside a warehouse on Albany Road Post in Buchanan is a good old fashioned record store. Ossining Board Calls For Driver's Licenses For All New York Residents OSSINING, N.Y. -- The Ossining Village Board thinks all New York residents should be eligible for a driver's license, regardless of immigration status.
