A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

Eddie was born in Ossining on August 4, 1932, and was the son of the late Julius Edward and Mary (Johnson) Burguiere. He was 84. Burguiere attended Ossining schools and was a longtime mechanic at Sleepy Hollow Country Club. He was a member of the Ossining Fire Department, Monitor Hose Co. No. 4 for over 50 years. Superintendent Dr. Raph Napolitano announced his retirement back in March after 11 years of leading the district, effective at the end of the school year. Yorktown Man Climbs Mount Kilimanjaro With His Brother Two brothers recently had the adventure of a lifetime.  Chris Berlow, a Yorktown resident and his brother John, a Peekskill resident, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa, in March. The climb helped raise $100,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, which is headquartered in Rye. Climbing Kilimanjaro took six days to get up and two days to get back down. The Berlows jumped at the chance the second they heard of the opportunity.
