An (almost) lifelong Westchester resident, Sam has reported on all facets of Westchester since he graduated from Ryerson University with a degree in print journalism, including stints at North County News and The Examiner. A film columnist for WAG Magazine, Sam's moviegoing expertise has been profiled in the New York Times and he was a featured guest on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.

More Than $20K Raised For Mount Kisco Family That Lost 2-Year-Old WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. --A Mount Kisco family whose two-year-old child died on Easter Sunday in Chappaqua has seen an outpouring of support from the community. A GoFundMe page to help the family of Matias Lenis-Gomez has raised more than $20,000 from 304 donors as of Tuesday afternoon. The goal was to initially raise $10,000. Matias was found in a pond on Whippoorwill Road after he was reported missing on April 16. He was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Inmate Assaults Officers In Violent Struggle At Fishkill Facility, PBA Says Three officers were hospitalized after being assaulted by an inmate convicted on attempted robbery in Westchester at the Fishkill Correctional Facility, according to the New York State Correctional Officers Police Benevolent Association. Dutchess Residents 'Leap For Autism' Saturday Two years ago, Greystone Programs, based in Hopewell Junction, wanted to host a fundraiser that wasn't a simple walk or gala.
