Poughkeepsie Man Among Sailors Missing In USS John McCain Collision Corey George Ingram, a 28-year-old Poughkeepsie resident, is one of nine sailors missing following a collision between the USS John McCain and a merchant vessel in Singapore on Monday, Aug. 21. The Navy said Thursday it had suspended search and rescue efforts for the missing sailors. One sailor has been confirmed to be killed. Ingram was an Information Systems Technician 2nd Class. Man Stole $1,420 In Scrap Metal From Yorktown Auto Shop, Police Say A 35-year-old Peekskill resident was arrested and charged after he allegedly stole $1,420 in scrap metal from Tompkins Garage. Jeremiah Jones, 35, was charged with grand larceny in the fourth degree, a Class E felony after police investigated the larceny, which occurred in March. Jones voluntarily turned himself in on Aug. 23, where he was arrested, police said. Jones was released on $100 cash bail and is due back in court on Sept. 26 at 6 p.m.
