Man Fatally Shot In Elizabeth: Prosecutors A 44-year-old man was shot and killed in Elizabeth on Wednesday, May 31, authorities said. At 1:23 p.m., Elizabeth police responded to the 700 block of Dowd Avenue for a report of gunshots in the area, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. Upon arrival, they located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the Union County Prosecutor's Office said. Former Aussie Rules Footballer Opens Coffeehouse At Bergen Town Center Nick Stone has gone from playing on an oval field in Australia to grinding coffee beans. Bluestone Lane, a Melbourne style café that Stone first opened in 2013, is opening a location at the Bergen Town Center in Paramus. Ambulance Overturns At Garden State Parkway Toll Plaza Two people were injured after an ambulance overturned at the Essex County Toll Plaza Thursday morning, June 1 on the Garden State Parkway, state police said. The crash happened at 9:06 a.m. after the ambulance struck the toll plaza, Philip Curry, a public information officer for the New Jersey State Police said. The two occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital, Curry said. Toll lanes 8, 9, 10 and 11 remain closed as police continue to investigate the crash, Curry said.

Murder: Gas Station Employee Dies Months After Jersey City Assault, Suspect Charged A 26-year-old Jersey City man was charged with first degree murder on Wednesday, May 31 after a gas station employee he assaulted last year died of his injuries earlier this month, authorities said. Getaway Driver, Armed Robber Captured In Linden With Third At Large: Police One of two armed robbers and their getaway driver have been captured in Linden, with the second robber at large, authorities announced Wednesday, May 31. On Thursday, May 17, police responded to a report of a robbery at gunpoint by two men armed with ski masks on the 1400 block of S. Masked Thieves Swipe $68K In Merch From Luxury Store At Fancy Hackensack Mall Five men took $68,000 worth of merchandise from Bottega Veneta at the Shops at Riverside in Hackensack on Wednesday, May 31, authorities said. At 11:20 a.m., store personnel and security said five Black men wearing face masks entered the store and took 23 clothing items, ripping them from their security devices, police said.
