Child, Woman Shot In Springfield, Police Searching For Answers Springfield police are investigating a double shooting over the weekend.  The incident happened just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, when they received a ShotSpotter alert in the areas of Marlborough and Suffolk streets, a spokesperson tweeted. Police found the scene on Suffolk but no victims.  They turned up later at Baystate Medical Center at different times. Masked Robber Hits Longmeadow Bank: Report There was a large police presence outside of Berkshire Bank in Longmeadow Monday afternoon as police investigate a robbery that happened around 11 a.m., police said.  Police said a man walked into the Longmeadow Street bank and handed the teller a note that demanded cash. No one was hurt, Longmeadow police said.  Police described the man as between 5-feet-5-inches tall and 5 feet 6 and weighing about 250 pounds.
