Harrison Ranks Among America's Safest Towns HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison was named the 44th safest community in America by security website Safewise.com. Safewise compiled crime statistics from the FBI and conducted its own research on public safety public health, and educational offerings to determine its rankings. Harrison reported .18 violent crimes per 1,000 residents and only 4.59 property crimes per 1,000 people.
