Ted Cruz To Announce Carly Fiorina As Running Mate Ted Cruz will name former presidential hopeful Carly Fiorina as his running mate on Wednesday afternoon, according to multiple reports. The Texas Senator will make the announcement in an effort to regain momentum despite being unable to reach the 1,237 delegates required to secure the nomination. All Cruz can do now is try and block Donald Trump from landing the nomination and force a brokered convention, CNN.com reported. Chilly Temperatures Bring Frost Advisory To Ridgefield RIDGEFIELD, Conn. -- Cold overnight temperatures have prompted the National Weather Service to issue a frost advisory into early Thursday morning throughout Fairfield County. Sunny skies will prevail on Wednesday with highs around 60 degrees. Temperatures will dip to the mid 30s overnight creating the opportunity for patchy frost to form. Horace Greeley Ranks Among Best High Schools In New York CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Horace Greeley was named the 157th best high school in the country by U.S. News & World Report in its annual ranking of best high schools Tuesday. It was also named the 27th best in New York. U.S. News & World Report enlisted the help of social science research firm RTI International to compile its rankings. Harrison Ranks Among America's Safest Towns HARRISON, N.Y. -- Harrison was named the 44th safest community in America by security website Safewise.com. Safewise compiled crime statistics from the FBI and conducted its own research on public safety public health, and educational offerings to determine its rankings. Harrison reported .18 violent crimes per 1,000 residents and only 4.59 property crimes per 1,000 people. School Board Will Pay $340,000 For Wanaque School Roof WANAQUE, N.J. -- The Wanaque Board of Education has awarded a contract to continue roof work at the Wanaque school over the summer, according to NorthJersey.com. The BOE received 11 bids for the work, but ultimately awarded the $340,000 project to Patwood Roofing, the same company that replaced a large section of the school's roof in 2015, NorthJersey.com reported. New Milford Homeowner Taxes Could Remain Flat NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- A proposed $20.8 million budget would keep municipal taxes flat for New Milford homeowners, according to NorthJersey.com.
