A 33-year-old man who served prison time for killing a husband and wife in a Xanax-fueled crash in Rockland County, New York has been arrested again, this time on robbery and burglary charges in Bergen County, authorities said Thursday, Aug. 20. On Sunday, Aug. 16, officers responded to the parking garage at 170 Prospect Ave. in Hackensack on a report of someone burglarizing vehicles, Hackensack Police Capt. Gregory Zisa said. A 35-year-old South Carolina man stole about $50 from a children's lemonade stand in Bergen County before police tracked him down in a nearby park, authorities said. Chapel D. Lighty, a Bishopville, was arrested Wednesday, Aug. 19, and charged with theft and taking or receiving a credit card without the owner's consent, Hasbrouck Heights Police Capt. John Behr said. The pilot killed when his Cessna collided with a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter at Carlisle Regional Airport has been identified as a 57-year-old Hershey man with decades of experience in emergency medicine. Paul William Sokoloski, 57, of Hershey, was pronounced dead at the scene of the Wednesday, Aug. 19 crash, according to Pennsylvania State Police and Cumberland County Coroner Charley Hall. A pilot was killed, and two Pennsylvania State Police troopers were injured when a small plane struck a police helicopter during a training exercise at Carlisle Regional Airport on Wednesday evening, Aug. 19, officials said.
