She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

Briarcliff Track, Field Athletes Head To State Championships At Cornell BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Briarcliff High School indoor track athletes Ryan Gallagher and Jack Zimmerman have qualified for the New York State Indoor Track and Field Championships. Zimmerman will compete in shot put after setting a new school record of 52 feet and one inch. He also will compete in the weight throw, after qualifying with a throw of 61 feet and 2.5 inches.  He is currently ranked 13th in shot put and third in the weight throw in New York State.  Gallagher will compete in the 1600-meter run. He is currently ranked 11th in the state.  The state championships are at Cornell Uni…
