BOGOTA, N.J. — The Bogota Community Alliance (BCA) is gearing up for its third annual Bogota Beauty Pageant. This year's pageant will feature male and female contestants all competing to be named Mr. & Miss Bogota and earn a scholarship on behalf of the BCA. Fundraiser Aids Oradell Boy, 6, Recovering From Cancer Treatments
ORADELL, N.J. — More than $2,900 had been raised as of Monday evening on a GoFundMe page for a 6-year-old Oradell boy who is recovering from cancer treatments. When Hudson Starvou was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in September of 2015, his mother Jen had to resign from her job to care for him. Hudson underwent chemotherapy for two months and by the new year, it was determined that his cancer was in remission. DUMONT, N.J. — More than $12,700 had been raised as of Sunday night on a GoFundMe page launched by a Dumont emergency medical specialist for his longtime colleague battling cancer. Dennis Boos created the site when Newark University Hospital EMT Scott "Stitches" Williams was re-diagnosed with cancer in January after 1 year of remission.
