Paramus Rotary Gives 'Gift Of Life' To Hundreds Of Kids PARAMUS, N.J. — The Paramus Rotary Club was recognized for its involvement with "Gift of Life International," a rotarian based organization that provides treatment for children with heart disease in third world countries. Cresskill Pet Owners Must Obtain Licenses CRESSKILL, N.J. — Dog and car owners in Cresskill must obtain licenses for their pets by February 29 or be subject to a $10 late fee. Failure to obtain a license by March 14th will also result in a summons. Dog licenses cost $16 and cat licenses cost $11. Required proof of rabies must be valid through November 1, 2016 and proof of neutering is needed to obtain a license.  Free rabies vaccinations are offered at the Cresskill Animal Hospital.

Rutherford Library Provides Tax Form Assistance RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Rutherford Free Public Library wants to assist locals with their taxes. A limited supply of 1040 and 1040A federal tax forms and the instruction booklets for 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ are now available at the library. Staff will also assist with downloading and printing additional forms off of the IRS website.  The library does not have New Jersey forms or booklets, but has prepared a few New Jersey instruction booklets that can be checked out or copied at the library.

Paramus Students Visit Buehler Challenger Center PARAMUS, N.J. — Fourth grade students at Parkway Elementary School in Paramus visited the Buehler Challenger Center at Bergen Community College on Friday as part of the school's B.L.A.S.T. (Building and Learning Around Science and Technology) program.Students worked in teams of four using a hands-on, inquiry approach to build structures, test them, and record the data. Some of the activities the students explored dealt with speed and motion, electricity and circuitry and robotics. Students were also instructed on how astronauts live and work in space.
